
Morten Crone
Morten Crone was one of the founders of Berlingskes investigative team. He was part of the team from 2008 - 2010. From 2010 he was Berlingskes European Correspondent in Brussels, and from 2014 he joined the team again.<br><br>For more than 15 years Morten has produced several landmark investigative stories for Berlingske. As an investigative reporter, Morten Crone has showed a wide range of skills. He uncovered how the largest Danish companies took part in the "oil-for-food" scandal after the first Gulf War. In another investigative series, Morten Crone documented massive failures in the Danish health care system that lead to the death of a one year old boy. The main story is still amongst the most read newspaper stories ever in Denmark, and the articles lead to fundamental system changes.<br><br>Morten Crone has recieved the finest Danish journalism awards "The Cavling" for the multi media investigation "The Crime" - about fundamental but hidden failures in the handling of distress calls to the police.<br><br>Currently, Morten Crone is doing stories on migration, survailance and terror. During the last 12 months, he has been collaborating with other investigative units in South and North America.
