Catholic priests in Denmark bought child porn and stalked minors. Today they are still working in the church
They have been accused of violations, assaults or fined for sexual crimes in Denmark. Nevertheless, five Catholic priests have been able to continue their work in the church for years. This despite the church's promises to clamp down on violators.
For decades, the Catholic Church has been tormented around the globe by cases of child abuse. The Vatican's guidelines emphasize that the church must avoid »only transferring the accused cleric«, as this is not necessarily »a sufficient solution«. But Berlingske has identified a total of five cases where convicted or accused Catholic priests have been able to continue in the priesthood - either in the same parish or another region.
