Er der stadig bid i Brecht?
Bertolt Brecht døde for snart 60 år siden. Længe inden Muren og de kommunistiske diktaturer faldt, så hvad skal vi med den meget politiske bevidste dramatiker i dag? For noget skal vi åbenbart, eftersom ikke mindre end to af landets store teatre har Brecht på deres repertoire i efteråret.

Brecht, who was born in Augsburg, south Germany, in 1898, returned from exile in the United States after WW II to then Soviet-occupied East Berlin in 1948. The poet and playwright, who was renowned for his outspoken Marxism and revolutionary experiments in theater, died in East Berlin in 1956. A series of events, including exhibitions, conferences and documentaries, mainly at the Berliner Ensemble are to mark the centenary of Brecht’s birth on February 10, 1898.
